A logical conclusion

I was influenced to pursue studies in physics, and to pursue a career in science, by two discoveries. First was the beauty of crystallography. Second was the discovery of the predictable reasons for higher order rainbows. Both were in the context of a high school physics class. The crystal structures and colors, something called “birefringence” of some crystals, how the bonding patterns were repeated, all contributed to a sense of awe, and became an invitation to new adventures in discovery. I wanted to understand more about the beauty that is God’s creation. I was for that!
