FDA authorizes emergency use of COVID vaccines for kids under age 5

It has been a long time in coming, but following most recent action of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA,) even the nation’s youngest citizens are finally eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. In mid-June, the FDA approved emergency use authorization to Pfizer for its vaccine for children ages six months to five years, as well as to Moderna’s vaccine for kids, ages six months to six years.
