Last week, I spent most of my time in Southwest Michigan – save for having to rush back to D.C. to cast my vote against the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” on Friday. I returned to St. Joe before midnight the same day. I traveled across the Sixth Congressional District to celebrate the grants I helped secure through congressionally directed spending. Included in these grants are funding for the Spectrum Health Lakeland Center for Better Health & Wellness, distance learning enhancements for Glen Oaks Community College, and $1 million to replace lead service lines across the north side of Kalamazoo.
