Is it necessarily true that in order to accomplish anything you must have faith in yourself? None of the “Faith’s Hall of Famers” honored in Hebrews 11 in the Bible accomplished what they accomplished by having faith in themselves and in their own abilities. What it took was not self-confidence; it took God-confidence plus obedience. Often it just took the courage to move forward based on confidence in God and in His promises. It was less “I can do this!”, and more “With God’s help, I can do this.”
