Isolating the enemy

Putin has warned it is impossible to isolate Russia from the West – I beg to differ. Last year, the U.S. bought nearly $20 billion worth of oil and gas from Russia and our allies like Germany have become increasingly dependent on the petrostate for their energy. As you may know, the United States is the world’s leading producer of natural gas and is on track to be the world’s largest exporter by the end of 2022 if we instate pro-American energy policies like approving the Keystone XL pipeline (which the President could easily do through executive orders).
