Last week we discussed how squirrels stash seeds, but did you know squirrels are not plant-eating herbivores? Of the nine species of squirrels in Michigan, all of them are omnivores, meaning they not only eat seeds, but also insects, birds, smaller mammals, eggs, carrion, and fungus!
