North Berrien Historical Museum presents Unsolved: The Morris Murders, Sept. 20

On the night of Sept. 28, 1879, Charles Henry Morris and his wife Esther Jones Morris were slain by gunfire at their home in Decatur, Michigan. The only other occupant of the house, a servant girl, never heard a thing. The murder was shocking to the small frontier community and was immediately prioritized by the local police as well as every other person in the area. Despite their efforts, the murder is still unsolved nearly 150 years later.
