While there are admittedly parts of the Bible difficult to understand, there are also clear passages that can be very encouraging. I would encourage anyone who does not have a Bible, digital or otherwise, to get one and begin exploring. One good area to begin reading might be the Gospel of John in the New Testament. John is the fourth book in the New Testament and provides a good overview of Jesus’ life and teaching. Other good areas to read could include the Old Testament books of Psalms and Proverbs. One chapter in Proverbs could be read each day of the month since there are 31 chapters in that book. By the end of one full month a person will have read an entire Bible book. Proverbs has very practical, timeless insights with good everyday applications.
