Telehealth: The future is here

As a strong advocate of telehealth, I have worked diligently with my colleagues in Congress to build the critical infrastructure necessary to expand healthcare services to hundreds of thousands of Michiganders and millions more Americans. Telehealth visits allow folks to screen for diseases, consult with their healthcare providers, and feel that sense of security we all want about our health from the comfort of our homes. The need for telehealth expansion is especially acute as we continue to battle COVID-19, which has prevented many folks – particularly our seniors and immunocompromised – from seeing their doctor in person.
