Cutting red tape
Michigan’s farmers and small businesses are being buried under a mountain of regulations from Lansing. From permitting delays to endless licensing requirements, the state is making it harder and more expensive to grow food, open a shop, or keep the doors open.

Affordable, reliable American energy
The availability of reliable energy is a major economic factor impacting the livelihoods of millions of Michiganders. Sadly, the partisan policies being promoted by the Senate Majority ignore the needs of citizens across our state—creating new problems that will sacrifice the affordability, reliability, and efficiency of our grid at the altar of environmental activism.

March is Reading Month
This week, I had the opportunity to read to several classes of third graders at Coloma Elementary School. Reading is an absolutely fundamental building block for student success and, every year, we recognize “March is Reading Month” to highlight the importance of literacy and language skills.
