The Watervliet Public Schools Board of Education held two special meetings last week at the high school media center. The first meeting was on Monday, March 16 and the second one was Wednesday, March 18. The purpose of these meetings were to interview the six candidates for the superintendent position. Watervliet Public Schools Board of Education held their monthly business meeting on Monday, March 9 in the high school media center. President John Oliphant called the regular meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. After the Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence, they got right into the meeting. Board Secretary Kim Adams did a roll call with all board members present.

At the Watervliet Public Schools Board of Education monthly business meeting on Monday, Feb. 9, varsity baseball coach, Josh Tremblay presented the board with a request for an annual Spring Break trip to Florida. This is the fifth year going on this trip. He believes it is a huge part of the success of the team. In the past, it has provided great team bonding, along with getting to know the families.
