DANIEL LEE “DANNY” RUPLE On Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, Daniel Lee “Danny” Ruple passed away at his home in Georgia.

Danny was born and raised in Hartford. He was 65 years old; he would’ve been 66 on April 27. He was a very special person. At 12 years of age, he tried to help an injured dog out on I-94; he was a Boy Scout at that time. Danny loved his NASCAR and Detroit Lions. His favorite clothes were bib overalls and sweatshirts. He always wore a hat and had a long beard. His most favorite past time was picking on his family and his friends. Danny worked for the City of Hartford and Coloma Township for many years. Danny is survived by his son, Daniel Jr. and his wife, Betsy, and daughter, Dana and her husband, Rick. He also had three very special girls: his granddaughters, Adelle, Harper and Krystin, who he loved very much. He is also survived by his brothers, Eddie Jr. (Brenda), Robert, Larry (Edna), Jimmy and Greg; his sisters, Sharon (Mike), Brenda Sue, Mary, Debbie (Greg), Cindy (Harry) and Julie; and several nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Stan, Donna and Margaret Ruple; a sister, Kathy Boyer; a very special niece, Heather Rains; two brother-in-laws, Jim Boyer and Jim Smith; a very special long time companion, Linda Hester; and lots of special friends. There will be a memorial service for Danny on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Van Buren Sportsman’s Club in Hartford. Everyone is welcome; please come out and join the family. Bring your memories and talk about all the good times. Any donations will go to help the family with final expenses.
