MISSION TRIP SPONSOR… Kathleen Krieger, a junior at Lake Michigan Catholic High School and a Coloma resident, will be travelling on a mission trip with other students from LMC, Lakeshore, St. Joseph and Bridgman schools, with the St. Joseph Interact Club. The students will finish building a house in the Dominican Republic this summer. The Coloma Lioness Club is happy to help sponsor Kathleen with a donation for this trip and eagerly awaits a follow-up presentation upon her return. Special Lent & Easter season services at Salem Lutheran Church During the season of Lent Salem Lutheran Church will have midweek services on Wednesdays, beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by a meal. During Holy Week, they will have services on Thursday and Friday, April 18 and 19, at 6:00 p.m., and Easter service will be Sunday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. Salem Lutheran Church is located at 275 Marvin Street in Coloma. Coloma Legion Lenten Fish Fry every Friday through April 19 Every Friday during Lent, through April 19, the Coloma American Legion Post 362 is hosting a Lenten Fish Fry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fish dinners include au gratin potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, bread and coffee and cost $10 each. All you can eat fish dinners are $13. Children ages 4 to 12 are $5 each and children 3 and younger eat for free. Takeouts are available by calling 269-468-5501. Coloma American Legion Post 362 is located at 351 E. St. Joseph St. in Coloma.

Easter Egg Hunt in Hartford April 13 On Saturday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. the Van Buren Sportsmen’s Club is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt in Hartford’s Ely Park. In the event of rain, the hunt will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m.

Freshwater Community Church Easter Egg Hunt on Easter morning Sunday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. the Freshwater Community Church is having an Easter Egg Hunt at Coloma Middle School following an 8:00 a.m. sunrise service. Everyone is invited. There will be lots of great prizes!

N.B. Historical Museum to host spring break music program designed for kids, April 4 Warm up your vocal cords and head on the over to the North Berrien Historical Museum on Thursday, April 4 at 1:00 p.m. to experience Carrying on the Folk Tradition, a spring break music program designed for children ages 6-12, although all ages are welcome. Fiona Dickinson, a Grand Rapids-based songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music educator, will visit the Museum to speak on the tradition of folk music and its importance in building our cultural identity. She will bolster this discussion by demonstrating and passing around different instruments. The children will be asked to help Fiona rework a traditional folk song. Guests are encouraged to participate in whatever way they feel comfortable. A short craft activity will follow the presentation. No RSVP is required for this free program. OFFICER PRINCE ADDRESSES ROTARY… Officer Mike Prince, Hartford Police was the guest speaker on Wednesday, March 6 at the Paw Paw Lake Rotary Club. He spoke about his life as a police officer. He has worked for all the Tri-City police departments and told several stories about the different situations he has dealt with ranging from traffic violations to drug enforcement. Rotary meets Wednesday’s at 12:15 pm at Lakeland Hospital Watervliet.
