Community Soup & Salad Supper

Friday, April 7

A Community Soup & Salad Supper will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Friday, April 3, at the North Berrien Senior Center, 6648 Ryno Road in Coloma.

The menu includes soup, salad, bread, dessert and beverage.

The public is invited. Cost for adults is $5; $3 for children up to 12 years of age; and free for children under three.

Proceeds go to the North Berrien Food Pantry located at Coloma United Methodist Church. This month’s supper is hosted by the Salem Lutheran Church.


Watervliet 40 Year Club announces date for 2017

The date for this year’s meeting of the Watervliet Public Schools 40 Year Club is Saturday, August 19, 2017.

The location will be the Watervliet Middle School, 450 East St. Joseph Street in Watervliet.  Social hour begins at 11:00 a.m., with lunch being served at noon.

Anyone that graduated from, or attended the Watervliet Public School system is welcome to attend.  Former school employees are welcome also.

Besides the social hour and lunch, tours will be provided of the newly renovated middle and high school buildings.  These improvements were a portion of the $23 million bond issue, passed in May, 2014.

Reservations are $15.00 per person and are due by Sunday, July 30, 2017.

THIS “KUTE KID” is… 3-1/2 year-old Malachi David Buenger. His par-ents are David and Emily Buenger of Watervliet. Malachi is the grandson of Billy and Melanie Bryant of Hartford, John and Kathy Fisher of Atlanta, GA and Donna Parsons of Smyrna, TN. He loves anything related to Thomas the Train Engine, Paw Patrol, and Trolls. Malachi enjoys playing with his toys, watching movies and during the summer, he loves the pool! Make sure you write your kids’ names on the back of the picture and include any other information about it you would like to see in the paper, including mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, and so on. Watervliet High School Class of 1977 announces 40 Year Class Reunion

Plans have been made for the Watervliet High School Class of 1977 40th class reunion.  Save this date and plan to attend:  Saturday, July 22, 2017.

The reunion begins at 5:00 p.m., running until 11:30 p.m., and will be held at West Street Station, 210 N. West Street in Coloma.
