Free seminar to discuss treatment for flat feet

Community members are invited to join foot and ankle specialist, James Maskill, DPM, for a free educational seminar titled, “Flat Feet? Lift Your Sole.” The seminar will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 at Lakeland Medical Center, located at 1234 Napier Avenue in St. Joseph. During the seminar, Dr. Maskill will discuss various treatment options for flat feet including stretching tips, physical therapy, orthotics, surgical options, and more. “If it hurts on the side of your ankle, flat feet or ‘fallen arches’ could be causing your pain,” said Dr. Maskill. “Ignoring this could lead to other issues.” Preregistration is encouraged; walk-ins are welcome. For more information, or to register, call (269) 927-5361 or visit www.communityboneandjoint.org/flatfeet.
