Watervliet Middle School May Students of the Month

Watervliet Middle School has announced their Students of the Month for May 2019. The sixth grade is proud to select Courtney Van Lente as the Sixth Grade Student of the Month. Courtney is the daughter of Kate and Jonathan Van Lent. She has two older siblings; Susanna is a junior and Drew is a freshman. She has a twin sister, Natalie and her little brother Connor is in third grade.

Watervliet Middle School June Students of the Month

Watervliet Middle School has announced their Students of the Month for June 2019. The sixth grade is proud to announce Jocelyn Solis is the Sixth Grade Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Juan and Veronica Solis. Jocelyn has three older sisters Janette, Ivette and Jovana and one younger sister, Abby. She also has a dog, Milo.

Saint Mary’s College names Dean’s List for spring 2019

Courtney Kroschel of Coloma has been named to the Saint Mary’s College Dean’s List for the spring 2019 semester. To earn this academic honor at Saint Mary’s, a student must achieve a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have a minimum of 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes, and no grades lower than a C. Celebrating 175 years of empowering women to make a difference in the world, Saint Mary’s College is recognized as a pioneer in the education of women. A Catholic, liberal arts institution in Notre Dame, Indiana, the College offers more than 50 academic programs and also offers co-educational master’s degrees in data science, speech language pathology, autism studies, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Thursday, June 20, 3 p.m. “WILDLIFE WONDERS” at Sarett Nature Center, 2300 Benton Center Rd., Benton Harbor. The program will feature a few different live animals at Sarett including birds, reptiles, insects and amphibians. Non-member adult cost is $5. June 21-22 “GARAGE SALE” held by Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet Auxiliary in the hospital garage. Friday 9-5 & Saturday 9-4. Proceeds benefit Auxiliary projects.
