Vendors Bazaar at Twelve Corners Community Church Saturday Twelve Corners Community Church is holding a Vendors Bazaar this Saturday, July 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This fund-raiser includes a bake sale and many vendors including Watkins Products, Wood Products, Mary Kay, Tupperware, Schaus Farm, also ceramics, handmade jewelry and much more. Proceeds from the lunch and bake sale go to the building fund. The church is located at the intersection of Hicks Avenue and Benton Center Road in Benton Harbor.

Mundt family celebrating 99th family reunion August 5 The 99th Mundt Reunion is being held Sunday, August 5, 2018, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Location for this year’s reunion is 7327 Red Arrow Highway in Watervliet. Family members are to bring a dish to pass and table service. A collection will be taken to help with the 100-year family reunion in 2019. By Martin Quigley Jr. This year’s festival t-shirt contest began last fall, when all the Coloma High School art classes, under the teaching of Megan Ferguson, started a two-week project. The students’ assignment was to create designs for possible selection to be featured on this year’s Glad-Peach Official Festival T-shirt.

Former classmates address Paw Paw Lake Rotary Club at July 11 meeting

On Wednesday, July 11 the Paw Paw Lake Rotary Club hosted two guest speakers, Tyler Dotson, Watervliet’s new city manager, and Jeremiah E. Smith the owner of Allegiant Laundry Services in Hartford. Dotson briefly presented his “first hundred day goals” for himself and for the city. He emphasized his commitment to collaboration with the commission, the various boards, business owners and stakeholders but most importantly the people of Watervliet. He indicated his first City Commission meeting went well and was pleased that a number of issues were acted upon and resolved. Dotson stated that “the strength of any community is with its people and we have some great people here in Watervliet.” Dotson hopes to focus on long term planning and work with local stakeholders to continue to build a community where people want to live, work and play.
