08-31-2017 More Tri-City Champions from the recent Berrien County Youth Fair

MADELINE JANKE… of Millburg won 3rd place for her Havana rabbit. In addition to rabbits she also entered cake decorating on hard form, baked goods, picture done with mark-ers and chestnuts. Madeline is the daughter of Hethe & Lauren Janke. She is in 4th grade at St. Paul’s Lutheran School.


KRYSTINA HORNUS, 16, of Coloma, once again did very well with her exhibits at the Berrien County Youth Fair. She is shown with her Champion Jelly Roll for her age group. She is a junior attending Coloma Schools and has been showing at the fair for 10 years. Krystina is the daughter of Shauna Smith and Brian Hornus.


JACOB JANKE… of Millburg received Reserved Grand Champion for pen of two market rabbits, Best of Breed for his Havana buck rabbit and second place for his Havana doe rabbit. He also entered tin punch, LEGOs and chestnuts. Jacob is in the 5th grade at St. Paul’s Lutheran School and the son of Hethe & Lauren Janke.


EVAN JANKE… of Millburg received Best Opposite for his Havana doe rabbit and second place for his Havana buck rabbit. He also entered tin punch, baking and chestnuts. Evan is a 3rd-grader at St. Paul’s Lutheran School. His parents are Hethe & Lauren Janke.


ELAINA FOGARTY, 15, won Reserve Grand Champion in the 14-16 age category for Gymkhana. She is a 10th grader at Watervliet High School and is a member of their equestrian team. She is the daughter of Tom and Laura Fogarty.


CONNER KISER, 12, of Coloma won Champion for his scarecrow in the age category of 10-14 years. His scarecrow of “The Swedish Chef from the Muppets” was named Best Scarecrow. A 7th grader at Coloma Schools, he is the son of Vince and Stacey Kiser.


ASHLEY FOGARTY, 20, won Reserve Grand Champion in the 17-20 age category for Gym-khana. She is a graduate of Watervliet High School and Southwest Michigan College. Both she and her sister Elaina Fogarty are active team members of the Mid America Cow-girls Rodeo Drill Team. She is the daughter of Tom and Laura Fogarty.
