Quarter Auction to benefit Watervliet High School Student Council & Class of 2022
A Quarter Auction is planned for Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019 at FOP Lodge 3470, Angling Road in Coloma with all proceeds going to the Watervliet High School Student Council and the Class of 2022. The auction starts at 6:30 p.m. with a preview beginning at 6:00. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Here’s how it works: Upon checking in, participants will receive a numbered paddle. All the participating vendors provide items valued from $10-$100 for auction. When an item comes up for bid that a potential buyer is interested in, they place the appropriate number of quarters in the basket in the middle of their table and raise their paddle. The values for the evening are: $10 – $24 item = 1 quarter, $25 – $49 item = 2 quarters, $50 – $74 item = 3 quarters, and $75 -$100 item = 4 quarters. Once the bidding has closed the auctioneer picks a random numbered ball. The individual with the matching numbered paddle that bid will win. If the matching numbered paddle did not bid say “no bid” and the auctioneer will pick another ball until there is a winner. The participating vendors are Beemer’s Blankets, KLR Innovations, LuLaRoe, Originals by Marilyn, Perfectly Posh, Precious Pearls, Scentsy, Thirty-One Gifts, Trouble In Laws, and Tupperware. There will be a snack bar with food and beverages for purchase. Please no outside food/drinks. There will also be raffle tickets for sale so bring a few extra dollars. For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact: Julie Carter (269) 876-0910.
