Watervliet Middle School September students

WMS STUDENTS OF THE MONTH… Watervliet Middle School has selected the following students of the month for September 2019 (from the left): 6th Grade Isabella Bultema, 7th Grade Aubrey Noe, 8th Grade Kameron Smith. Congratulations to these “Students of the Month” and keep up the great work!
Kameron Smith Watervliet Middle School eighth grade is proud to announce Kameron Smith as Student of the Month for September 2019! He is the son of Richard Smith and Rhonda Smith as well as brother to sister, Riley Smith. In his free time Kameron enjoys participating in cross country and wrestling. In school his favorite subjects are history and science. Kameron enjoys being in history class because he enjoys learning about the past and he enjoys science because he likes to do hands-on labs and projects. After high school Kameron wishes to pursue a career in the military. His goal is to enroll into the Marine Corps! The eighth grade team agrees that Kameron is a hard worker, is focused, and is engaged in the classroom. Also he is willing to help others in need and goes above and beyond classroom and class work expectations. Aubrey Noe The seventh grade is proud to announce Aubrey Noe as the September Student of the Month! Aubrey is the daughter of Mallory and Blake Wyatt, and Eddie and Kelly Noe. Her brothers are Braxton, Jaxton, and Carsen. Her sisters are Makenna, Lauren, and Madison. Aubrey’s favorite class is ELA because she loves to read. Mrs. Henderson says, “Aubrey is off to a fantastic start to 7th grade! She has been super helpful in class, is extremely polite, and is conscientious about her work.” Aubrey keeps herself busy with sports. She enjoys softball, basketball, cheerleading, and volleyball. She also enjoys being outdoors. Aubrey’s friends say she is caring, always in a good mood, is never rude to anyone, and is funny. She is the type of friend who is always there for you and will make you laugh and be happy when you’re sad. In the future, Aubrey plans to become a teacher. She would also like to travel to California and Hawaii. Isabella Bultema The sixth grade is proud to announce Isabella Bultema is the September Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Keith and Cindy Bultema. Isabella has two older brothers Isaac and Kameron. She also has a dog, Sunny, a cat, Kitty and a fish named Mr. Fish. Isabella likes to feed the ducks and has even caught a couple. Her favorite subject is band, and she loves to read. Isabella loves sports and has played basketball, softball, track, cheerleading and enjoys hunting. She is able to catch many animals at her home near the orchard. Her favorite color is blue or green and her favorite animal is a fox. The sixth grade chose Isabella because she is kind, hardworking and a true pleasure to have in class.
Support the Troops Christmas Open House; boxes packed for U.S. military members
Blue Star Mothers of America Inc. #177 is sponsoring the 17th annual Support the Troops Christmas Open House on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 568, 3093 Johnson Rd. in Stevensville. There will be a patriotic program at 11 a.m. They encourage everyone to join them. Help make Christmas special and the holidays a little less lonely by packing boxes to send to our troops. Suggested items are Christmas stockings, small cans of fruit, tuna or chicken pouches, beef jerky, instant drink mixes, gum, mints, nuts of all kinds, granola and cereal bars, Slim Jims, crackers and cookies, foot and body powders, non-alcohol body wipes, toothpaste and deodorant. Lakeland Neurosurgery welcomes new provider
Spectrum Health Lakeland is pleased to welcome Alexander George, PA, to the medical staff. George will see patients alongside Christian Sikorski, MD, Rafeek Woods, MD, and Angela Blomgren, PA, at Lakeland Neurosurgery, located at 3950 Hollywood Road, Suite 210 in St. Joseph. George earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Kettering College in Kettering, Ohio. Prior to coming to Lakeland, he worked as a medical scribe at South Bend Clinic. George is also a certified emergency medical technician. “My desire as a physician assistant is to go beyond curing a disease and to educate patients to take control of their health, recognize what they can do to live a healthy life, and create relationships with them where they can trust in my care and my abilities to treat them,” said George. Auxiliary Arts & Craft Show at Watervliet Middle School
Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet Auxiliary will host their annual Arts, Crafts and Vendors Show Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The show will be held at Watervliet Middle School, 450 E.
