Watervliet Charter Township PUBLIC NOTICE The Township is amending their 5 year Parks and Recreation Plan that will expire December 31, 2018. NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE TO THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, BERRIEN COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

Please take notice that the following is a summary of Ordinance No.56 which was adopted by the Bainbridge Township Board at a regular meeting held on the 10th day of December, 2018.

Section 1. TITLE. This ordinance shall be known as and may be cited as the Bainbridge Township Ordinance to Prohibit Recreational Marihuana Establishments Ordinance.

Section 2. DEFINITIONS. Words used here in shall have the definitions as provided for in Initiated Law 1 of 2018, MCL333.27951etseq., as may be amended.

Section 3. NO MARIHUANA ESTABLISHMENTS. Bainbridge Township here by prohibits all marihuana establishments within the boundaries of the Township pursuant to Initiated Law 1 of 2018, MCL333.27951etseq., as may be amended.

Section 4. VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES. This article explains the duties of the Ordinance Enforcer and administration and enforcement procedures including violations and penalties for violation.

Section 5. SEVERABILITY. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable and if any clause is declared void or unenforceable, it shall not affect the remainder of the ordinance.

Section 6. REPEAL. All ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 7. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days following publication.
