“Kute Kids”… THIS “KUTE KID” IS… Payton Ballard, who recently celebrated her 7th birthday. Her parents are Brett Ballard and Maddie Flagel. Payton’s grandparents are Troy and Michelle Ballard, Vince and Arlene DiMaggio, and Frances and Larry Scott. She has a little brother named Vinnie. Share a photo of your “Kute Kids” with your friends, neighbors, and relatives who read the Tri-City Record. Make sure you write your kids’ names on the back of the picture and include any other information about it you would like to see in the paper, including mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, and so on. To become a “Student of the Week”, students are nominated by teachers or staff for doing something positive. For example: getting a good grade on tests or homework, doing well in class participation or just doing a good deed. Selected students will receive a certificate, their picture taken & posted in the High School front lobby showcase for the week and in the Tri-City Record. At the end of the school year all Student of the Week names will be entered in a drawing for some cool prizes, treats or gift cards. Tickets on sale for 2019 Miss & Mr. Coloma pageant The 2019 Miss and Mr. Coloma pageant for Blossomtime is scheduled for Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Coloma High School Auditorium beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale in advance for $20 and will be $25 at the door. 6th GRADE STUDENT OF THE MONTH… at Watervliet Middle School is Logan Schaefer. Logan is the son of Lyndsey and Brad Schaefer. He has a brother Jacob, 13, and a sister, Saarah, 17. Logan has a German shepherd/husky mix named Sheba. Logan’s favorite subject is band and he plays percussion. He also participates in football, basketball and track.


Ticket sales this Saturday for Miss Watervliet 2019 pageant As pageant season is now upon us, Blossomtime’s theme “America the Places You’ll Go” showcases the many wonders across our great nation. The 2019 Watervliet Pageant Organization is pleased to announce their theme, “Sweet Home Alabama” where spectators will experience southern hospitality and charm at its finest. This year’s pageant is slated for Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:00 pm; doors will open at 2:00. Tickets may be purchased this Saturday, Dec. 15, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the auditorium lobby. Eleven young women will be vying for the title of Miss Watervliet 2019.
