W-A-Y Watervliet High School Students of the Month

The W-A-Y program recognizes two students each month for their dedication to their educational goals. Although they feel that all of their students are awesome, they simply wanted to recognize two students each month for their accomplishments. Sometimes a little recognition can go a long way.

These students were selected by the W-A-Y staff in recognition of recent progress, attendance, communication, attitude and overall devotion to themselves and their educational goals.

The two students for November are Elizabeth Snider and Natasha Gardner.

Elizabeth Snider joined the WAY program in the fall of 2016 and has worked relentlessly for the past three months. She has earned over two credits in that period of time. She works from home and attends the lab several days a week. Her parents are Charlotte Vigansky and William Snider. She enjoys traveling, spending time with family and her girlfriend. She currently works at Q-doba and wants to attend Grand Valley State University to become an ER trauma nurse.

WATERVLIET SOUTH SCHOOL CHARACTER AWARDS… At South Elementary they are working on putting their South School pledge into action each day. For November and December they are focusing on learning about and being trustworthy. The “Trustworthiness” awards for Dec. 7, 2016 were presented to: (from the left) Hadley Musik, young-5 student in Miss Konkel’s room; Caroline Weber, kindergarten student in Mrs. Griffith’s room; Lucas Wilder, 1st grade student in Mrs. Muth’s room; and Wyatt Wagner, 2nd grade student in Mrs. Martin’s room. Little Panthers… small but mighty!
