NOTICE OF ORDINANCE SUBMITTAL

CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF COLOMA

BERRIEN COUNTY, MICHIGAN

TO:         THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF COLOMA, BERRIEN COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the following is a summary of a proposed Ordinance which was received for first reading by the Township Board of the Charter Township of Coloma at its regular meeting held on December 13, 2017.

SECTION I           REZONING OF PROPERTY IN LAND SECTION 29.  This section rezones three parcels located at 5901 Red Arrow Highway from R1-A Single Family Residential District to C-1 Commercial District and amends the Township zoning map to reflect the rezoning.  The parcels have the following tax parcel numbers: 11-08-0029-0012-00-9, 11-08-0029-0014-00-1 and 11-08-0029-014-02-8.

SECTION II   SEVERABILITY.  The provisions of this Ordinance are severable.

SECTION III REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.  This section repeals all conflicting ordinances or parts of ordinances.

SECTION IV EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Ordinance shall take effect eight (8) days following publication after adoption.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are repealed.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the full text of the proposed Ordinance  is on file in the Office of the Township Clerk at the address set forth below and has also been posted at the Township’s website at http://www.colomatownship.org for inspection by the general public.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said Ordinance will be considered for adoption by the Township Board at its next regular meeting to be held at the Coloma Charter Township Hall on January 10, 2018, commencing at 7:00 o’clock p.m.

Coloma Charter Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed material being considered at the hearing, to individuals with disabilities at the hearing upon four (4) days notice to the Coloma Charter Township Clerk.  Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Coloma Charter Township Clerk at the address or telephone number listed below.
