Avoiding a government shutdown

Last week, I voted for, and the House passed by a vote of 230 to 201, a Continuing Resolution (CR) to avoid a government shutdown. The CR will provide government funding through Dec. 16, 2022, and the government will continue to operate on a budget that “froze” spending at FY’22 levels (actually, the Trump enacted budget from last year).
