Friends of local resident, Becky Ryan have organized a benefit event for this Sunday, Jan. 28, to help Becky’s family offset medical and travel expenses. Becky was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an aggressive form of cancer requiring treatment in Grand Rapids.
There will be a Spaghetti Dinner, Bake Sale and Silent Auction on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Watervliet High School Cafeteria. Tickets are $10 for the dinner and can be purchased in advance or at the door. All proceeds will go to Becky’s family.
Becky graduated from Watervliet High School and her husband, Larry graduated from Hartford. They have five children all together. Becky’s son, Cayden is a freshman at Watervliet.
