Berrien County Mounted Division receives donation from FOP
On Nov. 9, 2023 representatives from the Fraternal Order of Police – Blossomland Lodge 100 were on hand at the Sheriff’s Office to present a generous $2,000 donation to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Mounted Division.
The FOP Lodge 100 has just completed their months-long fundraising efforts, which were geared towards supporting the Sheriff’s Mounted Division, as well as the Berrien County Law Enforcement Memorial Monument Fund.
The Berrien County Law Enforcement Memorial is located in Lake Bluff Park, in Saint Joseph, and commemorates the sacrifice of 20 law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of-duty. The Berrien County Mounted Division is an all-volunteer unit of the Sheriff’s Office, consisting of sworn deputies who serve the people of Berrien County. The Mounted Division assists the Sheriff’s Office with the preservation of law and order, community events, and emergency operations such as search and rescue.

The Fraternal Order of Police is a voice for local, county, state and federal law enforcement officers who protect and serve unselfishly on a daily basis.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to extend their thanks to the businesses and organizations who helped support the FOP 100 fundraising efforts, as well as the Blossomland FOP 100, for their continued efforts to support law-enforcement in Berrien County, and the memory of our fallen officers.
