CAITLIN BALTAZAR

Caitlin Baltazar, 36, of Coloma, began life June 24, 1987, in Berrien Center, Michigan. She grew up in Coloma with her parents Rob and Sylvia Nick, now deceased, and her siblings, Jared and Meridith.

Caitlin worked hard towards her education and graduated high school. She continued her education at LMC working towards her nursing degree. She was a thoughtful caring person who loved helping people and animals. Caitlin had passion for all animals and had dreams of having an animal sanctuary where she could love them as they should be. Caitlin also enjoyed photography and scrap-booking all her memories through her years.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband of 15 years Alex Baltazar; a stepson Aiden Baltazar; her nephew whom she has guardianship, Aiden “AJ” Nick; two siblings, Jared (Trisha) Nick and Meredith Nick; a nephew, Colton Nick; a niece, Ava Nick; and three aunts, Heidi Koetsier of St. Joe, Marion Guenther of Eau Claire, and Helen Guenther Také of Florida.

Caitlin passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Corewell Health in St. Joseph surrounded by family. In one of her last wishes Caitlin gave a gift of life and became an organ donor.

Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting her family with cremation. Caitlin’s family will be hosting a celebration of life for her June 29, 2024, at her brother’s house. You are invited to leave a message of comfort.
