Can these bones live?

We can try to figure out different ways to resolve our difficulties, whether financial, relational or whatever. We worry and resolve, figure and develop plans B, C and D, hoping things will work out. Israel tried a lot of things that they discovered didn’t work well.

The first part of the prophetic book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament presents a discouraging message for Israel. Their rebellion would lead to judgment. Ezekiel later presents a promise from God of restoration. Ezekiel 37 presents a scene of a wide valley full of the dry bones of thousands and thousands of long dead soldiers.
