CAROL J. LOVELL

Carol’s life began Oct. 11, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA. Carol married Robert Lovell in 1959 in Pennsylvania. They started their family in Pennsylvania and then moved to West Virginia where they raised their children.

Carol would travel with Robert’s job, until 1984 when Robert took a job with the Watervliet Paper Mill moving them to Watervliet. Carol loved being a mom to their four children and her nephew whom they took in at a young age. They made their home in Watervliet where they continued to raise and enjoy four children and nephew. Carol worked outside of the home as an executive housekeeper in the hotel industry. Second to her family Carol loved taking care of her animals. Outside of caring for her children and work, Carol was a member of the LDS Relief Society.

Carol leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory including: four children, Lydia Lovell Davis, Robert Lovell Jr., Lisa Lovell, and John Lovell; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a nephew, James Lovell III and many other nieces and nephews; her caregiver Shannon Byrd; and a close friend, Kathy Divine.

Carol died Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at home surrounded by family with her daughter Lisa by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elma (Mason) Kohl and husband, Robert Lovell Sr.
