City of Hartford receives grant for water woes

Hartford’s water woes will soon see some relief as they have received final approval from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s administrative board for the Consolidation and Contamination Risk Reduction Grant in the amount of $2,970,800.00. This grant will be used to connect the area experiencing PFAS contamination to the city’s water system. The City of Hartford will have three years to complete this project.
