Coloma police recover body of fisherman in Little Paw Paw Lake

According to Chief Wes Smigielski of the Coloma Township Police Department, on May 7, 2026, at approximately 10:41 a.m., Coloma Township Police were dispatched to Little Paw Paw Lake in Coloma Township for a body that was located in the lake. Officers were summoned after a fisherman that was out on the lake noticed a single small boat floating with no one inside. This fisherman drove over by the boat and noticed a male body floating and immediately called 911.
