A new season, a new era: Coloma Basketball prepares for winter tipoff
As the final chapters of the fall sports season come to a close, a new wave of excitement is beginning to build throughout the halls of Coloma High School. The football helmets and cleats are being put away, making room for basketballs, wrestling mats, and the familiar sounds of winter athletics.
For the Coloma Comets, the transition into winter brings more than just a change in seasons. It also brings new opportunities, fresh faces, and, for the boys varsity basketball program, a new leader at the helm.
A new era on the hardwood
The Coloma boys varsity basketball program will enter the 2026-27 season under the direction of new head coach, Justin Webb.
With a change in leadership comes an opportunity for the Comets to establish a new identity on the hardwood. As Webb prepares for his first season leading the varsity program, the weeks ahead will provide an opportunity to evaluate talent, establish expectations, and begin laying the foundation for the future of Coloma basketball.
