Coloma School Board offered insight on student and staff accomplishments this fall, deliberated on student discipline hearing
The Coloma Community Schools (CCS) Board of Education entered into closed session at their monthly business meeting Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, pursuant to Section 8(1)(h) of the Open Meeting Act to consider material exempt from disclosure by Section 13(1)(g) of the Freedom of Information Act concerning a student discipline hearing; in particular, records subject to attorney-client privilege.
In open-meeting business, Alicia Ford and Erica Anstey from the Coloma Public Library presented a plan to bring a selection of books to the high school every other week for the high school students to select and “check out” for a 2-week period. Parents will receive a letter explaining the book selection policy.
Since many Coloma high school students are not able to use the public library after school due to transportation issues this community partnership between the Coloma Public Library and Coloma High School will fill a void that currently exists and will provide students with accessible books on site.
