In a follow up from last month’s Coloma Township Board meeting, the board approved additional funding for the community’s joint cemetery. Trustee Bryan Duffield reminded the board at their Feb. 10, 2021 meeting that the Cemetery Board had reviewed all of the expense categories and could not find anywhere else to cut. With Coloma City and Township both providing funding for the community cemetery, the cemetery board has not requested additional funding in 14 years, that coupled with decreasing burial income has put them in this position.
