Education Committee - pushing for change

This term, I have been placed on the Committee on Education for the first time in my career. There has been a significant learning curve because of the entrenched beliefs held by my Democrat colleagues. The prevailing theme: more money, less accountability. As a newcomer to the committee, I’m committed to a different outlook, one that puts students first and gives parents a seat at the table.
