As we kickoff our annual contest, we look back at a few of our past winners in recent years. Our 2025 winners, Bryce Meagher and Caitlyn Harmon, both of Watervliet, became friends in elementary school and in 2013 they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Although they both have faced challenges, they have never left each other behind.

Bill and Rhonda Scott were named our 2024 Cutest Couple. The two have been married for 27 years now and have three successful kids. Their story began as high school sweethearts. As they put it, “Well, she was in high school… He was a tad bit older, and the love hasn’t stopped!”

In 2023, Pam & Ken Watts were chosen as the Cutest Couple. Ken was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2022. After which, the pair decided to move home to the Tri-City Area and live every day to the fullest. They have traveled to Colorado and Arkansas and surrounded themselves with friends and family. Their love for one another has made this journey one filled with many great memories.

And the final throwback is to 2022 winners, Larry and Leanne Adams of Coloma. Larry and Leanne met at Babe’s 80th Birthday celebration. The two both were divorced, met unexpectedly, and finally connected during the blizzard of 2011 as they were snowed in together for four days. Larry and Leanne said they were “still on our honeymoon 10 years later!”

To enter, simply go to www.tricityrecord.com and click on the “Cutest Couple” page. Upload your photo and in 50 words or less, please tell us about your special couple (name & where they live, years married or together for example) and why they deserve the “Cutest Couple” title. All nominated couples will receive a coupon code for three months FREE to a new online subscription to Tri-City Record e-edition.

Pictures of nominees can also be dropped off at the Tri-City Record office to be added to the online contest.

Cutest Couple nominee or winner does not have to be a subscriber, but needs to live in the Tri-City area - Watervliet, Coloma or Hartford.

Voting for the “Cutest Couple” will be done by simply going to www.tricityrecord.com and selecting the couple of your choice. Your email will need to be entered to cast a valid vote. The contest begins January 30, 2026.

Each voter will be able to vote only once a day. The photos of each couple will also be on the Tri-City Record Facebook page with a link to the website for the voting. Only votes on the website will be counted towards the contest. The “Cutest Couple” contest winner will be determined by the couple with the most votes on our website.

In each issue of the Tri-City Record prior to Valentine’s Day we will run the photos of the current top five couples in the newspaper.

Deadline for “Cutest Couple” entry is noon on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, with the contest voting closing at 12:00 Noon also that day.

The couple chosen as “Cutest Couple” for 2026 will appear in the February 19 edition of the Tri-City Record. They will win a Valentine’s Day themed Gift Basket.

The Tri-City Record reserves the right to delete or not publish any photo from the contest at any time deemed necessary. No family member connected to any Tri-City Record employee is eligible to win, but can play for fun!
