FEMA provides $248M to Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for COVID-19 pandemic response

FEMA and the Michigan State Police/Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division announced on Jan. 21, 2025 that $248,096,445 has been made available to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for costs related to the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic under the federal disaster declaration of March 27, 2020. This funding will reimburse the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for emergency protective measures taken during the pandemic, including costs to purchase and administer COVID-19 tests.
