GAIL L. RAY


Gail Lowell Ray, 75, of Hartford, MI, passed away Feb. 22, 2026, of chronic heart failure at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI. He was born July 30, 1950, in Niles, MI to Stanley Louis Ray and Lucille Gertrude (Spear) Ray.

He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife Julianne Dumdei; and son Jeramy James Ray.

He is survived by his son Joshua Lewis Ray; wife of 42 years, Karen Elizabeth Ray; stepsons Levi James Gerbers and Daniel James Gerbers; sister Nancy Margaret Ast; and brothers Ames Duane Ray and Lyle Wilford Ray.

He was a hard worker all his life, and a diehard Chicago Cubs fan.
