GALEN L. BLOUGH

 Galen L. “Skip” Blough, 75, of Watervliet, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023 at his residence.

 Skip was born Jan. 3, 1948 in Ann Arbor to Galen E. and Grace M. (Easterday) Blough. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after serving during the Vietnam era. Skip was formerly employed by Watervliet Paper Mill until its closing and was a pipefitter for Bosch Braking Systems for over five years before retiring in 2005.

 He was also a member of St. Joseph Masonic Lodge #437, past vice president of the Watervliet Rod and Gun Club, a member of the Coloma Lions Club and over the years had been active in the Coloma Ambulance and Fire Department. Skip was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and in his free time enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his elk hunting trips to Colorado.

 Skip is survived by his wife Patricia (VanLinder) whom he married March 18, 1967; three sons, James (Julie) Blough of St. Joseph, Shawn (Carla) Blough of Clearwater, Fl, and Heath Blough of Lakewood, Co. Also surviving are his siblings, Edwin “Butch” (Sharon) Blough, Jim (Kay) Blough, Donnie (Becky) Snow, and Vickie Miller all of Ohio, and Lonnie (Soni) Snow of IN; three grandchildren, Amanda (Kyle) Roberts, Jamie Blough, Darrian Blough, and five great-grandchildren, Blakeleigh, Paisley, Braxton, Jaxon, and Khyler.

 In addition to his parents, Skip was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
