There are amazing “coincidences” in the Bible that demonstrate the sovereignty of God in His control of history down to the day. One of them is the coincidence of the Law being given to Moses on Mount Sinai (defining the Mosaic Covenant), and the birth of the Christian Church, both occurring on Pentecost – also referred to as “The Feast of Weeks” in the Bible. Pentecost is mentioned in Deuteronomy 16:16 and in Leviticus 23, for the Jewish celebration, and in Acts 1 and 2 for the Christian application. The significance of both of these two momentous new beginnings happening on the same day of the year is huge!
