GRETCHEN A. WISE

 Gretchen Ann Wise, 81, of Watervliet, passed away at home on June 20, 2026.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial donations in Gretchen’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Gretchen was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Berrien Springs, MI to Albert and Emma (Statler) Abraham. She graduated from Paw Paw High School - Adult Education in 1979 and worked as a waitress and a business partner alongside her husband Don for their construction company. Gretchen enjoyed family functions, her friends at Tri-City Village, vacations on the East Coast and flower gardening. She also had a love for attending NASCAR races, dancing with Don and going to karaoke with friends and family. Gretchen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

 Gretchen is survived by her children, Charles “Chuck” Lee (Teresa) Wise of Bremen, IN, Denise Renee (Jeff) Sirk of St. Joseph, MI and Ronda Lynn (John) Kiser-Oakes of Gloucester, VA; sisters Wanda Healy of Watervliet and Mary Brooks of Coloma; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Lee Wise Sr., son Donald Lee Wise Jr., two granddaughters - Brittany Kiser Partin and Mary Oakes-Babcock, grandson Jeffrey Sirk, four brothers and three sisters.
