Guy W. Cobb, 79, of Coloma, died Friday, July 7, 2023 in Hartford.
Services celebrating his life will be held at noon on Saturday, July 15, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. The visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Davidson Chapel. The burial will be on Tuesday, July 18, at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek. Guy was born on Dec. 2, 1943 in Steele, MO to Lemuel and Virginia Cobb. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and is a member of American Legion. Guy was a retired supervisor and inspector for over 20 years with the Ford, Bacon and Davis Pipeline. He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed fixing lawn mowers and cars. He also liked to ride motorcycles.
Guy enjoyed eating sweets, watching Westerns on TV, fishing and hunting. He always made donations to many local groups. He loved animals especially his hummingbirds. He also loved his children and would buy something for everyone who was in the group of kids with his children.
His family includes his children, Shawn (Christina Hatch) Cobb of Hartford and Tracy Spitale of Coloma; his sister, Roberta Oettle of Middleburg, FL; his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chad, in 2022 and his brother, Arby in 2019.
