Thanksgiving’s history is very interesting. Abraham Lincoln established it during the Civil War, providing an opportunity for North and South to come together for higher purposes. Where the prototype for our traditional Thanksgiving originated involves an ongoing discussion. Wherever the turkey tradition originated, they’re pretty sure pumpkin pie was a Pilgrim contribution. Yay Pilgrims!
