Last week, I was appointed by the Speaker to serve as the new Chairwoman of the House Commerce and Tourism Committee. In my first act as Chair, I led a joint hearing with the Senate Small Business and Economic Development Committee to explore the unique challenges faced by our state’s hospitality industry as they struggle to bounce back from the COVID pandemic.
