Honoring the fallen on Memorial Day

As the school year comes to an end and warm Michigan weather is on the way, there is a lot to be thankful for. Before we fire up the grill to mark the unofficial start of summer, boating season, or opening the community pool, we must first take time this Memorial Day to remember those who lost their lives protecting our freedom. In fact, it’s believed Memorial Day was established in May so that flowers would be in bloom across our nation.
