Over the holidays, the governor’s administration released an independent report showing the Unemployment Insurance Agency lost $8.5 billion in taxpayer dollars to fraud during the pandemic. To date, 22% of all taxpayer-funded unemployment aid paid out during the pandemic has been sent to the wrong people.
