Increasing accountability

Throughout my time in office serving as the voice of Southwest Michigan residents, some of my top priorities have been making government more efficient, effective, and, most importantly, accountable. For there to be accountability, there must be transparency, and residents must trust what’s happening in their government. During the COVID shut down when there was one-person rule, the people had their voices silenced because the legislature was shut out – there was no transparency. In the aftermath, my colleagues and I are taking action to ensure these abuses never happen again.
