It’s a little brighter day

There are signs popping up in people’s front yards with the words “Be Kind” printed in large letters for everyone to see. This is a new thing. Maybe it’s because in the stress of increased prices and decreased resources people are forgetting the usual considerations shown for each other in public. Impatience seems to be an issue occasionally. Like when someone takes extra time at a bank drive-through window, or when someone in the checkout line is counting out change too slowly. These occurrences remain exceptions. We’ve never appreciated people driving ten miles-per-hour under the speed limit! Being kind then requires some extraordinary patience!
