JEWELL DANIEL

Jewell Daniel, 98, of Coloma passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at Hanson Hospice Center in Lincoln Township.

Family services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Burial of the ashes will be next to her husband, Walter, at North Shore Memory Gardens. Arrangements are by the Florin Funeral and Cremation Service in Fairplain. Please share messages or memories at www.florin.net.

Jewell was born on July 17, 1927, in Tyronza, Arkansas, to Lon and Maggie Wages. She moved to Michigan in 1963 and was employed by Kmart for several years. Her favorite hobby was reading. Jewell will be missed by her friends and family.

Jewell’s family includes her daughter, Becky Kenney of Coloma and her son, William David Waddle of Watervliet; and her stepdaughters, Betty (Gary) Coleman of Baldwin, Debby (David) Dessen of Tucson, Arizona, and Pam Skoka of Sodus. She also has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her special friends from First Missionary Baptist Church of Coloma.

Jewell was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Garland Evett in 1948, William Waddle and Walter Daniel in 1995, and her daughter, Patricia Ann McConnell in 2014, her two brothers Vernon and Shorty Wages, along with other stepsons and grandchildren.
